Color Reflections: The Color of Spring

April showers bring May flowers. What do May flowers bring? Seasonal allergies, but also a sense of renewal.

In sharp contrast to winter, spring is a season of rejuvenation. The grays and icy hues of winter are washed away and in their place blooms a wide array of colors. Lush greens, violets, blues, pinks, oranges, reds, any color you can think of.

In sharp contrast to the colors of winter, spring is vibrant with color. Across the globe, spring is a beautiful and lush season. In india, spring delivers the Holi festival, an explosion of hues. In Amsterdam, a huge tulip festival, and in Japan, the beautiful flowering cherry blossom trees.

The bright colors of spring seem to permeate every aspect of our lives. With the emergence of warmer weather and brightly colored blooms comes fashion to match. Our resources tell us this spring is going to be a colorful one. This season’s color palette is a mix of bright yellow, electric lilac, and candy pink as well as bold red and baby blue. When practically any color is “in,” anything goes!

Spring is (quite literally) a breath of fresh air after winter is over. It’s bright, fun, and beautiful. As a color lover, it’s personally one of my favorite times of the year.
