A special time for both of these American companies as the U.S. National Park System is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and the parks are near and dear to Airstream's heart – providing outstanding travel experiences throughout the U.S. To mark this occasion, Airstream and Pendleton joined forces to produce the limited edition (100 units) Airstream Pendleton travel trailer. Fabrics and textile designs featuring classic motifs were produced by Pendleton and delivered in an iconic silvery aluminum Airstream trailer.
The challenge for Graphica was to help Airstream's nationwide dealer network promote this limited edition collaboration in a memorable and consistent way. Using the U.S. National Park's centennial as a focal point, a campaign was developed consisting of print and digital advertising that targeted an audience of potential Airstream customers. Besides utilizing the beautiful product imagery, the Pendleton ads featured a commitment by Airstream that stated for every limited edition trailer sold they would donate $1,000 to the National Park Foundation. To say this program was successful is a bit of an understatement. All 100 trailers were reserved for purchase within days of the launch. Happy Birthday, National Park Service!!
