Inspiring donors to make a difference

A new, eight-story patient tower is taking shape in the heart of Dayton Children’s Hospital main campus. When it opens in 2017, this building will transform the way children are cared for in our region.  Facilitating the funding for an undertaking of this size would be no easy task. Graphica worked closely with the development team at Dayton Children’s Hospital to brand a campaign that would communicate their message to potential donors.

A capital campaign is an intensive fundraising effort that requires professional materials to convey the importance of a project while remaining understated.  These key tools must strike just the right balance to motivate donors to contribute above and beyond their normal donations.  Graphica took that into consideration and designed a brochure filled with inspiring stories and successful outcomes of some of Dayton Children’s most cherished patients.  Additional materials included a pledge form, fact sheets and naming opportunity sheets. Focusing on four key floors in the new tower (Newborn Intensive Care Unit, General Pediatric Unit, Hematology/Oncology and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), each naming opportunity sheet included a detailed floor plan to help donors visualize and select where their donation could be designated.  A custom pocket folder was designed to house all of the campaign materials.

Graphica also created an interactive microsite to further enhance the experience.  This site showcases videos, a blog, various renderings of the project, and even a construction cam! Navigating through the site, one can learn about the scope of this project, explore the building through photos and renderings, read stories of miracle moments and discover how they can make a difference in transforming the care of many generations to come.

With all of these tools in hand, Dayton Children’s will surely be Reaching New Heights!
