To attract both grade-school-aged kids and their retail-buying parents, Thermos developed a line of super-cool, soft-sided lunch boxes. Graphica was challenged with adding fun and functional product features along with graphic themes that would visually engage various children’s interests.
Among our solutions, for young “princesses” we created a sweet, pink and lace design and there’s also a feminine, yet bold, graphic floral pattern. To conceal tiny treasures, we incorporated a zippered pocket with a butterfly pull charm. Another popular design theme was wizardry and magic. This theme featured a swirling spiral effect and had a dimensional, puff pouch encapsulating silver glitter outside and a fortune-telling game on the inside lid. We also covered the skate-boarding crowd with a digitized, active illustration.
